Manufacturing Sand from Rocks with B-VSI-7611 in UAE

The introduction of B series Deep Rotor VSI cone crusher has solved two common problems in quarry field. A shortage of natural sand lead the quarry owner to seek a machine can produce fine sand. Also, the construction market demand for better aggregate shape.

Case Study
A quarry operator in the UAE needed to expand their crushing and screening plant in order to cope with an increase in chip and sand demand from the market.

Material is granite. They already have one primary and a secondary crusher. Material comes out from the impact above 20mm. the secondary crusher was being operated at very tight settings, but still was unable to cope with the fines requirements. Final products they required is 0-5mm; 5-10mm; 10-20mm (total 3 products).

Solution
After consultation with Zenith Mineral’s engineer, they would like to add a B Series Deep Rotor VSI-7611 in the existing plant. This machine will carry the material from the existing plant of (20-40mm) and reduce it to 0-5mm; 5-10mm; 10-20mm.

The B-VSI is designed to produce very good particle shape and a high preparation of fines. After commissioning, the capacity of up to 150TPH easily, which exactly meet the quarry owner’s initial plan.

The deep rotor is about 50% greater than that of normal rotor, which means there is a greater space between distributor and feed eye ring, as well as between the upper and lower wearing plates. Capacity in this way improves at least 30% then the traditional VSI crusher.

Economic Cost of the Spare Parts
Seems now the UAE quarry owner had the perfect plant, exactly flow his request, but if this plant will achieve at a high cost in maintenance and ware parts, this would be a limited success.
But, B-Deep Rotor VSI has the optimized design of spare parts:

  1. Application of design for back-up rotor tip. In this way avoid the damage of the impeller body in a large range.
  2. Segment design of rotor tip. The middle segment can be replaced separately, the upper and lower segment can be converted and reused, the efficiency of rotor tip increases by 50%, significantly reducing operating cost.

  • Application of diamond impact block; Application of diamond impact block prevents excessive wearing of contact surface of previous square impact block, effectively increasing the servicing life of impact block.
  • Segment design of chamber lining plate; according to the rules that guard liner plated is worn out mostly in the central position; original integrated guard liner plate has been changed to separated parts. When the central part is worn out, exchange the position of upper and lower parts, effectively enhancing the availability of material, prolonging servicing life by over 48%.

    Based on above technical support, now the UAE customer is enjoying good shape material making machine, high suitable and lower cost machine.
